Rescue Heroes is a line of toys from Fisher-Price that was introduced in 1997. Rescue Heroes depicts various rescue personnel and their equipment. In 1999, an animated television series titled Rescue Heroes was developed and was based on the figurines. Rescue Heroes has aired on CBS Kidshow (1999–2000), Kids WB (2001–2003), Teletoon (1999–2009), Qubo (2009–present), and YTV (2011-present). In 2003 a movie that was based on the TV series was released, and it was titled Rescue Heroes: The Movie. The animated series strives to teach kids proper safety techniques and how to deal with issues such as bullying. Some episodes address safety skills beyond the capability of young children, such as extinguishing a grease fire, or unplugging electrical equipment during a lightning storm. At the end of most episodes there would be safety tips, which would then usually conclude with the slogan, Think like a Rescue Hero, think safe.
